Draw Boxing

I have always been a fan of boxing games, so i was looking forward to play this app called : Draw Boxing.

The main goal of this game is to knock your opponent k.o. or to push and punch him of the platform you are playing on. To achieve this, you have to draw a punching pattern at the beginning of every match.

For example : you can draw for your left hand a wide hook and for your right hand a direct punch forward. This pattern is looped during the game, so the only thing you have to take care of is positioning your player

so it can give the best hits or avoiding punches from your opponent.

                                

 

During the game you can collect strength-upgrades(for better and harder punches) and life-upgrades(for longer lasting energylevel). You can buy these upgrades with the coins you earn after winning a match. If you defeat an end boss, you will earn even more coins, for better upgrades.

Graphics/sound/gameplay

The graphics of the app are not very special or detailed, but it looks allright alltogether. The controls during the game are moving the player and the punching is going on auto-pilot. The animations are doing well and there is no jerky movement in playing animation. The physics are not like in the real world and hitting your opponent is more a question of positioning your player. I didn’t noticed any sound during the gameplay, so that’s alittle bit dissappointing. During the game you can’t hit a pausebutton and there is no settingsscreen.

Conclusion

This is not a game for people who want to get some realistic boxing. The idea of drawing the punches at the start is nice, but if you advance in the game it is getting little bit bored and you wish you could punch yourself, when you see that opening. So it’s fun, but not very challenging and gets bored after 3 levels.

I will give it 3 out of 5 stars!
